About Us

Readability was created with the goal of making a positive difference within children’s literacy and impacting the technological advancements in education as a whole. Readability is a true passion project. We are constantly motivated to develop socially-conscious technology to advance humanity and ensure a positive experience for the end user. Having built four successful technology companies in the last 20 years, we are fortunate to have an all-star team, financial resources, and an arsenal of relationships to make it happen.

After diving deep into the world of children’s literacy, we determined that there has been little to no advancements in tools for reading and comprehension. For example helping a child read & comprehend by providing real time voice analysis and feedback or tracking a child’s accuracy & time to tailor further reading & comprehension for better improvement, did not exist. So we did what we do best and set out to solve this problem by leveraging our 20+ years of tech expertise in collaboration with specialists in education and literacy development. We created Readability, a new paradigm in reading and comprehension tools unlike anything else on the market. Readability brings together Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Advanced Speech Recognition, Fun Content, Real Time Performance Tracking, and Gamification within one mobile app to help young children become strong readers.

Listen:
Passages are read aloud to your child in a natural spoken voice, tone, and tempo. The listen feature can be turned on or off, allowing your child to read on their own. The speed can be adjusted to meet your child’s needs.

Read:
A.I., NLP and Speech Recognition follows along with your child as they read aloud Highlighting sentences as your child makes her way through a passage. Designed for a child to practice pace and pronunciation. A.I. recognizes words that are mispronounced or skipped and prompts your child to try again.

Parental Dashboard:
Readability provides parents with a detailed report of their child’s progress. Report includes child’s reading level, pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension, reading pace and daily time spent reading. Parents can also see where their child’s areas for improvement may be and focus on those issues. This allows parents or educators to confirm their child completes lessons, meets goals, and is on track to becoming a confident reader.

Content:
We carefully select content to cultivate curiosity and a love of reading. Our content collection includes a fun mix of both educational and fictional content. Evergrowing and frequently updated.
